List of all Airports in Georgia

There are 3 international airports in Georgia: Tbilisi, Batumi and Kutaisi.

And 2 domestic ones — Natakhtari (near Tbilisi) and Mestia (Svaneti).

Tbilisi Shota Rustaveli Airport

This is the main airport in Georgia, located 17 km from Tbilisi.

In 2007, a large-scale reconstruction of the airport was held.

So now it is a modern, beautiful and convenient airport with cafes, restaurants, duty-free, waiting rooms & car rental agencies.

A railway line can take you to the city center (the train runs twice a day), and there is also a bus shuttle (route №37). The fare is the same, 50 tetri.

Batumi Airport

Batumi Airport is just 2 km away from the city.

It is rather small, but serves domestic, international flights and regional Turkish flights (as Hopa airport).

There is a cafe, a duty-free room, a waiting room.

To Batumi from the airport you can get by taxi or bus №10.

Kutaisi Airport

Kutaisi Airport is the most modern in Georgia.

It was built in 2012, it became the second largest Georgian airport.

There you can find cafes, restaurants, duty-free shops, waiting rooms.

Mostly all cheap tickets to Georgia can be found in Kutaisi direction: UIA and Wizzair fly here.

Ti get to and from Kutaisi airport you can either by bus on the Georgian bus (must be customized for each flight, but it’s better to book in advance, the official site georgianbus.com) or by taxi. Also there are some car rental agencies at the airport.

Natakhtari Airport

Natakhtari is a small private airport of Vanillasky company.
You can get to they fly to Batumi, Kutaisi and Mestia from here.
The airline flies on small 3, 6 and 16-seater aircrafts.

Queen Tamar Airport in Svaneti

Queen Tamar airport is located in Mestia, in the north of Georgia, in Svaneti region.

This is a hard-to-reach mountain area, so the plane is a good alternative to minibuses.

Airplanes fly to Mestia from Kutaisi and Tbilisi (Natakhtari airport), the journey takes 1.5 hours.

The price for an adult is 50-65 lar, for a child under 12 years 30-5 lar, children under 3 years old fly free of charge.
